Studio A&D was founded by architect Arjun Mehta with a straightforward mission: design spaces that are beautiful, functional and honest. We are a team of twelve architects, interior designers, furniture designers and project managers. Every project — from a single-room renovation to a full-home build — is led by a principal designer who stays with it from the first site visit through to the final walkthrough. We do not believe in style labels. A contemporary living room, a minimal bedroom and a classic entrance hall can coexist in the same home because they serve different purposes. Our job is to understand how you actually live and design around that, not around a mood board. Our work has been featured in Architectural Digest India, Elle Decor and Living Etc. We have won twelve design awards and completed over 250 projects across nine states.

Questions clients ask us
What is your design process?
We follow a five-stage process: Discovery (site visit and brief), Concept (mood boards and space plan), Design (detailed drawings and 3D renders), Execution (procurement and installation), and Handover (final walkthrough and styling). Every stage is presented to you for approval before we move to the next.
How much do you charge, and what is included?
Our packaged services start at ₹49,999 for the Essential Design (single room) and go up to ₹4,99,999 for the Luxury Design (full home). All packages include site visits, design concepts, material samples and a clear deliverable list. The Premier and Luxury packages include vendor coordination and project management. There are no hidden fees — every quote is itemised.
How long does a typical project take?
An Essential Design concept is delivered within 4 weeks. Premier designs take 4 weeks for the concept and 8–10 weeks for full execution. Luxury projects take 6 weeks for the concept and 4–6 months for complete turnkey delivery. These are commitments based on a decade of project data — not optimistic estimates.
Do you work with existing furniture and decor?
Absolutely. We always ask what pieces you want to keep before designing anything new. Our designs incorporate existing furniture, heirlooms and artwork so your home feels like yours — not a catalogue. This also helps reduce waste and keeps the budget in check.
Can you handle structural changes and renovations?
Yes. We regularly work on renovations that involve removing or adding walls, changing window openings, redoing flooring and updating electrical and plumbing layouts. Our team includes architects who can assess structural feasibility and coordinate with structural engineers where needed.
Do you manage contractors and vendors?
Premier and Luxury packages include full vendor coordination. We work with a curated network of carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers and custom fabricators that we have vetted over many projects. For Essential clients, we provide a list of reliable contractors and can supervise installation at an additional fee.
Can we visit a completed project before booking?
We are happy to arrange a visit to a completed project that matches the scope you are considering — subject to the homeowner's consent. Alternatively, we can schedule a video call with a past client who has agreed to share their experience. Just let us know what would help you feel confident.
